The UIB provides a range of resources to help the entire university community, including mobility students, to learn Catalan. This includes tools for independent learning that students may access before their arrival, as well as face-to-face activities for them to continue learning once they get to the university.

Becoming familiar with the Catalan language enhances mobility students' understanding of local culture and helps them develop their intercultural skills. Speaking Catalan contributes to students becoming fully immersed in local society and at the UIB.

Moreover, the university provides all students and staff with a set of language query resources in order to ensure they can fully express themselves in Catalan across all areas.
